An eCheck is a PayPal payment method that can be used in place of PayPal instant payments.
Just like a regular check, it usually takes between 3 and 5 business days for an eCheck to clear and the money to appear in the recipient’s PayPal account.
When a customer pays with an eCheck on your direct website, the order come in to the Awaiting Payment status. Once the eCheck clears, PayPal sends an IPN notification to your Crystal Commerce admin, and the order is moved into Payment Received.
To ensure that eChecks have time to clear:
Make sure that the preference to cancel unpaid orders is set to a value greater than 5. You can find this setting in the Account > Store section of the admin.
